The shape of modern Jacuzzi style Spas and Hot Tubs continues to evolve at quite a pace with manufacturers introducing more and more models in order to catch the publics imagination with increasing Shapes & Colors.

Some Hot Tubs are square say 2 meters by 2 meters and comparably shallow holding just over some 200 Gallons whilst others are exactly the same size but much deeper holding 300 Gallons. This gives one an insight into the purpose of the Hot Tub. The more shallow one with less water capacity would be for semi buoyancy whilst the deeper Hot Tub would produce a much more buoyant sensation. Some would argue for one above the other but we are back to what the consumer actually wants if its a more deeper tub then the choice is obvious equally a more shallow tub may be the one the consumer wants. Possibly the more deeper Hot Tub may be better value but it is I think pretty marginal.

Some hot Tubs are rectangular and indeed any shape is available that the Hot Tub manufactures believe will generate interest in the market place. For example there are octagonal and now deep round shapes. Also there are Swim Spas those Jacuzzi Style Hot Tubs that have a dedicated Swimming area with a special Hot Tub Massage area. These are now becoming very popular. The choice of Jets is also expanding considerably with some manufacturers offering the ability for the consumer to be able to choose the positioning and type of Jets in certain models. This means that it is now possible to have a custom Hot Tub made for you.

The original Hot Tubs of years ago were circular and made out of wood like very large beer barrels and today some modern Hot Tubs are produced in that shape also. These round Hot Tubs provide a great deep Tub with plenty of Jets and a great Hydro massage effect. At the same time they are very good for friends and the family to get together and have a chat.

Some of the many other things to consider when choosing a Hot Tub are the combination of colors available not only for the shell but also to the cabinet. Some Hot Tub suppliers / manufacturers have quite a limited choice in colors but it is possible to get literally any color in the shell of a modern Hot Tub.

Do you want a flag say the Spanish Flag perhaps,or the British Flag or the Irish Flag or the French Tri-Color through the shell of your very own Hot Tub of course it is all possible today? Perhaps the colors of your favorite football team or indeed a real life example the racing colors of the Kawasaki Motor Bike racing colors !!!

Anything is possible today in the modern market place for the consumer to specify exactly the Hot Tub that they want.

Do you want to be able to specify the Jets in your Hot Tub and more than that there location? Yes you can choose the combination and the placing of the Jets in the latest modern Hot Tubs. This gives the consumer the chance to choose exactly what they want and have a Hot Tub custom built for them. No longer is one restricted to the standard ideas made by the manufacturers who are only interested in mass production.

Next time you are looking for a Jacuzzi style Spa – Hot Tub why don’t you look out for the new round shapes and the very varied colours that are becoming available.

The basic difference between a hot tub and a hot tub spa is the way in which they are constructed. A hot tub spa is usually made up of plastic or any heavy material and contains jets to soothe the muscles whereas in a hot tub, it is generally made up of a wood or cedar or redwood and fitted with pumps to provide relaxation.

In today’s fast paced world, many people do not find enough time to de-stress and relax themselves, and visiting a nearby spa or a hot tub spa would be the right remedy for them. Experiencing the hot tub spa has proved to rejuvenate the skin and can be a source of mental and emotional drainage. Jets are positioned around the sides of the hot tub spa that send a mixture of warm style water and air that helps to massage away the aches and pains of the body. A dip in the hot tub spa for twenty minutes stimulates the body and mind and at nights, enhances the sleep.

Physiotherapists recommend hot tub spa because the hydro massage along with the buoyancy, helps in the treatment of sprains, sports injuries and related ailments. When a person immerses in warm water, the blood vessels dilate due to the warmth, blood circulation is increased and the production of natural pain killers in the body is enhanced. A hot tub spa can be made to give the real spa experience by including amenities like lighting, exercise equipment, water misters and entertainment audio systems. There are many different kinds of hot tub spas including swim spa pools with special powerful surf jets installed at one end that enables to swim on the spot. When special spinner jets assist in massaging the body, they are known as therapeutic spas.

Selecting a hot tub spa can be decided upon the right size and location. Hot tub spas can be regular and portable and portable varieties are preferred due to many reasons like easy to carry around, easy to install and can be used irrespective of the season. Indoor hot tub spas offer more privacy and safety.

While purchasing a hot tub spa, among the various aspects, the size and location have to be considered. It is necessary to have a firm foundation in the form of a concrete slab. The weight of the hot tub spa should also be considered to hold the weight of the occupants of the hot tub spa.

It is highly essential that a hot tub spa has an effective bubbling system for relieving stress. The outer shell of the hot tub spa should also be of uniform thickness to provide good results and must be insulated to work efficiently. Another important feature is the filtration to offer safe and pure water to enjoy the bath in a hot tub spa.

A hot tub spa needs an investment but the benefits of it can be enjoyed by a person throughout his life and also by others.

A majority of hot water tubs incur chemistry problems because of the improper diagnosis with test strips. Some people think that just by dipping them into the water, they will get an accurate prognosis of what’s wrong with the water in the hot tub or spa.

There is some truth to that. You can actually troubleshoot hot tub or spa problems on your own. The important thing you should be aware of is how to diagnose these properly and the steps you must take in order to fix the water problem.

For future resources, here is a run through of the possible solutions to water chemistry problems in the hot tub or spa.

You should always make sure that the water in your hot tub is safe. You may get a lot of tips online claiming that the safest hot tub water is less stringent. Nonetheless, it is highly recommended that the water be reduced to a low point in order for your family and yourself to enjoy your hut tub safely.

Purchase the chemicals you will need for your hot tub from the best store. Get them in pristine condition. Just make sure that you read the details of each chemical before you actually put it in your hot tub.You have to test the chlorine levels and make sure that they fall in the range of 3 to 5 mg for every liter. This is the required dosage for every hot tub. Test the pH levels and check whether they are between the range of 7.2 to 7.6. If it doesn’t, then you have to toggle the hot tub pH content and meet these figures. If the water foams, then use the anti-foam. You can also go for the diluted form which comes in spray bottles. Spray them on the surface of the water.

You should put oxidizing agents like Calcium Hypochlorite or Non chlorine in your hot tub once every week. These clean the filter. You should also have spare filters which you use whenever you dry one. Notice that the fibers of the filter are bound together after you clean them.

Things to Remember if you have a Hot Tub

Calcium Hardness
You have to get the right calcium level in the water. The calcium levels depend on the source of water, where you get your supply and where you live. Soft water has low calcium while hard water has higher calcium. Each time you refill the tub with water, you have to check the calcium level. Ideally, the calcium level that is appropriate for a tub ranges between 100 up to 200 mg for every liter. If the calcium level for the tub is less than this, then it might result in damage or corrosion. If you find that the level of calcium is lower than the range mentioned, then use products such as the Hot Tub Hardness Plus in order to increase the calcium level up to the ideal.
If the level of your hot tub is way above than the ideal, then the results will be cloudy water. You can deposit the excess calcium on the heater element, tub shell, filter cartridge or in the pipe. You can also use the product No Scale in order to bring it to the calcium level you prefer.

Alkalinity
This depends on where you get your water. You should always check whether fresh water has been added. Ideally, Alkalinity for the hot tub ranges between 125 up to 500 mg per liter. If this stays in this range, then the water doesn’t fluctuate. If it drops, then the water becomes corrosive and causes damage on the equipment. We therefore suggest you use the product pH plus in order to increase the alkaline level.
However, if the alkaline level is higher than the ideal, then the water is not that clear and scales slowly form. In order to reduce this, we recommend ph Minus.

pH Levels
It’s important that you check the hot tub ph level on a regular basis. Use the Test Strips that you can buy over the counter at your local drug stores. Ideally, the pH range equates 7.4 up to 7.6. The alkaline protects the equipment and provides an ideal condition for the users because of its sanitizing effect.

Hot tubs are becoming more and more popular, but for centuries, all types of people have enjoyed the luxuries and therapeutic treatment of soaking in a pool of hot water. Evidence of enjoying such an activity can be traced as far back as the Romans.

For thousands of years, hard wood has been used to create barrels and vats to hold large amounts of liquids. The production of cedar hot tubs comes back to this ancient production. Cedar is a popular material because it is such a resilient material, is slow to decay and expands when it is soaked in water. The earliest forms of hot tubs were cedar hot tubs, and cedar hot tubs are still popular today.

The 1970s saw the introduction of the plastic hot tubs that most of you may imagine when picturing a hot tub in mind. These became more popular, but over the years, people have begun to realize that these plastic hot tubs could never look as good and appealing as cedar hot tubs do, and so the popularity of cedar hot tubs is growing, and more people are choosing this more traditional style for their hot tubs.

Cedar is superior to most other woods because it has a very high tolerance and does not decay easily. This is very important! Some woods rot very quickly in damp conditions, but cedar does not, which is vital in creating a hot tub. It is very tough, which makes it ideal for keeping water tight, and makes it very insulating – meaning the water stays warm in this wood longer than it would in any other. Along with this, cedar has a very pleasant natural scent, which makes soaking in cedar hot tubs very enjoyable.Just because cedar hot tubs are made out of wood does not mean that they can’t have all of the technology of their plastic based counterparts. Cedar hot tubs can include digital technologies, micro filter systems, powerful pumps and hydro therapy spa jets. Cedar hot tubs come in different styles and sizes, from a more traditional circular shaped tube, to a Japanese ‘Ofuru’ oval shape soaking tub. Hot tubs can come in a more intimate size, made for two people, to a much bigger monster sized tub, that can hold up to ten or twelve people.

Cedar hot tubs are much more desirable than a plastic hot tub, for many reasons. Firstly, there is the aromatherapy and the ambiance that is offered by soaking in a hot tub made from a natural wood product. Cedar wood releases a very pleasant smell that only a natural wood can emit – plastic has no such aroma! Cedar hot tubs offer more than a plastic made hot tub can, yet the price is around the same. Whether plastic or cedar wood, you will be paying around the same price for your hot tub, so why not go for the ambiance of cedar hot tubs? The experience from soaking in a natural wooden tub is very rewarding and pleasurable.
